About The Position

The UTP Sports Photo Business Internship offers hands-on experience in managing a sports-focused small business, specifically in the operations of a vendor booth at major sports events. Interns will gain insights into sales, customer service, and operational management while capturing high-quality images and engaging with customers. This internship is designed for aspiring entrepreneurs looking to learn about the various aspects of running a successful business in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Business-minded individuals with an interest in operations, sales, and customer service.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple aspects of the business at once.
• Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Must own an iPhone 13 Pro or newer with 3+ back cameras and no visible damage to the screen or lenses.
• Physically capable of walking/standing for extended hours and lifting up to 50+ lbs.
• Confident and proactive in starting conversations with coaches, parents, and team managers to drive business relationships and sales.
• Must be able to work outdoors in high temperatures (100+ degrees) for 8-12 hours per day, 4-5 days a week.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Manage photo operations by capturing high-quality images of teams and athletes using your smartphone.
• Learn the business processes of uploading and distributing products via the UTP app for real-time customer viewing.
• Drive product sales by assisting parents in selecting custom posters and other merchandise.
• Gather and manage contact information for follow-up marketing and sales purposes.
• Ensure operational efficiency by working with a team to meet daily quotas and deadlines.
• Assist in booth setup, inventory management, product display, and customer engagement to maximize sales.

Benefits

• Compensation of $18 per hour + Tips + Potential Commission
