About The Position

New River Valley Community Services' New Life Recovery Center is seeking a Utilization Specialist! The Utilization Specialist works with residential programs and partial hospitalization programs to ensure all quality management and utilization processes are completed to ensure quality services, and that the maximum reimbursement is approved and received in a timely manner. This role assists in the timely completion of quality reviews of all levels of documentation and ensures health and safety documentation and program equipment are up to date and functional. Provides phone triage, screening services, scheduling and referrals for individuals of the New Life Program. We are seeking an applicant with the following experience: At least three years' experience working with provision of insurance funded services is required. Experience in submitting and tracking authorizations for insurance payments for behavioral health services if preferred. Starting Hourly Rate: $19.31-Depending on Experience Education Requirements: An Associate's Degree/Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services related field is preferred or a High School Diploma with three years' experience will be considered. Additional compensation will be considered for any new employees who speak multiple languages.
