We are a growing, private, 134-bed psychiatric hospital that is dedicated to providing high-quality care for adults, geriatrics, and adolescents (ages 5-17) who are suffering from behavioral health and chemical dependency issues. Our patients recover at our new, state-of-the art medical facility in the Seven Hills area of Henderson, Nevada. Henderson is one of the fastest growing cities in the US and is located just 7 miles from the famed Las Vegas Strip and a couple of miles from beautiful Lake Mead. We are presently looking for a Full Time Utilization Management Specialist who will be responsible for:
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in behavioral health or RN Degree from an accredited college or university
- At least 2 years' experience in a psychiatric setting as UM Coordinator, Counselor or Nurse.
Responsibilities
- The UM Specialist is responsible for authorizing continued inpatient days for patients admitted to the hospital.
- Compiles statistics regarding authorizations and phone calls for monthly reports and communication with insurance providers.
- Provides customer service to members and providers regarding benefits and claim status.
- Communicates with Intake/UM Director regarding authorizations, reports, protocol concerns and network issues.
