Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in behavioral health or RN Degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least 2 years' experience in a psychiatric setting as UM Coordinator, Counselor or Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Authorizing continued inpatient days for patients admitted to the hospital.
• Compiling statistics regarding authorizations and phone calls for monthly reports and communication with insurance providers.
• Providing customer service to members and providers regarding benefits and claim status.
• Communicating with Intake/UM Director regarding authorizations, reports, protocol concerns and network issues.
