  • Collaborate with county or customer utilization and treatment teams to ensure appropriate care.
  • Review admission data and clinical documentation for compliance with regulations.
  • Interview members served and consult with outpatient teams when appropriate.
  • Consult with psychiatrists and medical staff regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Assess records for appropriate levels of care and discharge planning.
  • Advocate for necessary treatment with medical providers.
  • Provide training on utilization requirements to staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement meetings and projects.
  • Prepare correspondence and daily status summaries for members served.
  • Assist with restraint of members served in crisis situations.
  • Graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing Program (RN).
  • Two years of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience.
  • Current RN State license.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • CPR, First Aid, and CPI certified on date of employment.
  • Utilization Review Nurse experience preferred.
  • Competitive hourly wage of $70.00 - $86.49.
  • Part-time schedule with Monday to Friday shifts.
