About The Position

Starlite Recovery Center has been treating individuals with Substance Use Disorder for over 66 years. Starlite Recovery Center is located in the Hill Country, southeast of Kerrville, and approximately 30 minutes northwest of Boerne, Texas. We are looking for a Utilization Review Assistant to join the SRC team! For over 66 years, Starlite Recovery Center has been providing adult clients in the heart of the Hill Country in Center Point, Texas, with caring and highly effective drug rehab for substance abuse, alcohol addiction, and co-occurring issues. Starlite Recovery Center is part of the Acadia Healthcare system, a provider of addiction, behavioral and mental health treatment facilities in the United States and Puerto Rico. This position is located at our New Braunfels facility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

• Current certification as Registered Addiction Specialist, certified Substance Abuse Counselor or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Utilization department.
• Perform pre-certification and negotiate continued stay with third party payers.
• Gather data to support case management activities, including presentation of gathered data and case notes.
• Coordinate discharge planning with clinical team, maintain CRM database with discharge information and follow up.
• Present case information and the needs of third-party payers.
• Assist in admissions review, concurrent reviews and discharge planning.
• Assist physician in peer review by serving as information resource, gather data to support review and schedule peer review.
• Informs management about the status of current patients; documents utilization activities as instructed.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
