About The Position

International Paper Utility position Key Responsibilities: General Labor throughout the mill Safely handle miscellaneous materials in various environment Must be able to work rotating 12 hour shifts Team player must be able to maintain safe, quality, housekeeping and productivity Must be able to work in all types of environments (hot & cold) Must be able to operate powered industrial trucks, fork lifts, skid steers & spotter trucks Must have an intermediate level of computer skills Must successfully complete 2-2 ½ weeks on-boarding program Qualifications: Minimum high school graduate or GED equivalent Forklift experience preferred Manufacturing work experience preferred In addition, qualified candidates must be willing to meet the following requirements: Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment; Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment; Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule; Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification as needed; Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis; Wear required safety equipment; Operate or work in industrial conditions (i.e. warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery or elevated working surfaces with proper safety training and safety protection). Compensation & Benefits: The hourly rate for a Utility Rate II is $27.41 Internation Paper's Newport Mill offers all employees a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, life insurance, holiday pay and paid vacation.
