Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour plus additional shift differential for evenings, nights and weekends. This position is responsible for many different tasks/duties, please see the “essential duties and responsibilities” for more details. This position will check in daily with management regarding the day’s tasks/duties. The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Team member is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include, but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment. Team member is expected to identify, address and mitigate safety related risks.

Requirements

Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months. Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
6 months in related experience preferred.
Must be able to read, write and perform basic math.

Nice To Haves

Applicants with previous agricultural or production experience will be considered preferred.
Experience with Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean chemical room, chiller pad, offal room, muffler room, parking lot, and outside building weekly.
Setter checks, check all Lafferty systems and refills daily, treat drains weekly, change filters bi-weekly.
Proper inventory practices-Chemical, PPE, Sanitation, etc.
Stocks labs and puts up stock.
Fill in for 2nd and 3rd shift.
Must be able to read, write and perform basic math.
Operate a high pressure and regular water hose, general sanitation, pre-pull, and support with breakouts.
