About The Position
Boise Cascade is seeking a dedicated utility employee to join our production team in Havana, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines while actively reporting any potential safety hazards. You will perform essential housekeeping functions to ensure that machinery operates efficiently and safely, while also maintaining the overall appearance of the plant. Troubleshooting and reporting maintenance issues on plant equipment will be a critical part of your responsibilities, along with performing minor routine preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure machine reliability. Your tasks will include general cleaning, machine operation, loading and unloading materials, stacking products, grading, and operating a forklift as needed. You will be expected to perform a variety of tasks in the production environment to meet operational goals while fostering a safe work environment for all employees. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will contribute to a team environment by cross-training and filling in for operators during their absences. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate initiative, a sense of urgency, and the ability to work effectively within a team. This position requires flexibility, as you will be expected to work any shift, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as necessary. Additionally, you will be required to work in a hot, cold, dusty, and noisy industrial environment, maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations throughout your shift.
