About The Position

The Utility Worker plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas of True Connection Communities. This part-time position involves washing dishes, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring that dining areas are ready for service. The role is essential for supporting the culinary team and enhancing the dining experience for residents.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimal work experience required.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 20 pounds.
• Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Bussing tables and washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware.
• Resetting dining areas for the next shift.
• Cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations.
• Cleaning kitchen machines and appliances such as coffee makers and mixers.
• Unloading and storing deliveries of food and supplies.
• Sweeping and mopping floors, especially after spills or breakages.
• Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans.
• Assisting other restaurant staff members with various tasks as needed.
• Reporting kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures.
• Performing light food preparation as directed by culinary supervisors.
