Job Description Peterson Cat has the immediate need for a Utility Worker at our Chico, CA location. SUMMARY The Utility Person is responsible for assisting the parts departments by stocking and/or pulling inventory. Will also be responsible delivering parts to customer’s job sites; as well as maintaining parts departments housekeeping.

Requirements

Must be able to operate a forklift.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of experience in heavy duty parts department warehouse, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

Strong customer service, organizational and multi-tasking abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist the parts departments with stocking and pulling inventory.
Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
Deliver parts to customer’s job sites, collect necessary documentation and payment.
Perform miscellaneous clean-up of the parts department and maintain contamination control standards.
Must be able to perform general labor duties as required.
Follow all safety procedures.
Take care of environmental concerns.
Operate forklift to operate essential functions of the job.
Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers/ coworkers, including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
Respectfully takes direction from supervisor/ manager.
