About The Position
The Utility Worker delivers automotive parts, supports warehouse operations, maintains vehicle cleanliness, and ensures safe driving practices while interacting professionally with customers.
Requirements
- Knowledge of state and federal motor carrier regulations.
- Understanding of basic truck and trailer mechanics.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to safely navigate congested roads.
- Ability to read maps and use GPS technology.
- Safe and responsible vehicle operation skills.
- Flexibility to work varied hours.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience driving box trucks preferred.
Responsibilities
- Drive a 16-foot box truck to deliver automotive parts to customers.
- Load and unload deliveries safely; secure cargo appropriately.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the truck and loading area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain delivery logs, mileage, fuel usage, and incident documentation.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding daily schedule and delivery issues.
- Provide professional customer service during all deliveries.
- Comply with safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
- Other job duties as assigned.
