Overview Under the supervision of the Executive Chef or Culinary Director, the Utility Worker is responsible for following established procedures to ensure the sanitary maintenance of the kitchen and the entire food service areas. This position is responsible for set-up, operation, and cleaning of the dish machine. Cleans and sanitizes dishware, pots and pans, and all food service areas. Responsible for proper handling and storage of clean dishware. Receives goods under the direction of the Executive Chef or Supervisor and stores these goods in the appropriate areas. Reports shortages on deliveries or poor-quality products. Follows accepted and proper receiving techniques. Takes temperature readings of dish machine and sanitizer tests of third bay sink and reports any substandard conditions.
