About The Position

As a Utility Worker, you play a crucial role in maintaining the operational efficiency and cleanliness of our fleet of vehicles. Your responsibilities include safely driving units to fuel stations, refueling with the appropriate fuel type, and ensuring DEF levels meet requirements. Beyond vehicle maintenance, you contribute to a clean and sanitized environment by regularly cleaning and disinfecting each unit's interior. Additionally, your duties involve inspecting fare boxes, vaulting cash boxes, and recording essential vehicle metrics. Requirements

  • Background Check and Screening
  • Must pass a complete background check, including drug screening and physical examination, to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
  • Possession of a valid CDL Class A, B or C Driver’s License.
  • At least one (1) year of auto detailing experience.
  • At least one (1) year of probing and fueling experience.
  • At least one (1) year experience driving passenger buses with no preventable accidents.

Responsibilities

  • Fuel Units with Diesel Fuel (Fuel Para Transit Units with Gasoline)
  • Fill All Units with DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) When Required
  • Clean Each Unit
  • Sanitize/Disinfect Units
  • Probe Fare Box and Vault Cash Boxes
  • Document Unit numbers with cash boxes that cannot be vaulted, providing reasons.
  • Record Mileage, Fuel, and DEF Amounts
  • Drive Units Safely to the Yard
  • Park Units According to Designated Areas
  • Clean Work Area Daily
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Site Supervisor.
  • Adapt to and take on new tasks as needed to support the organization.
