About The Position

Responsible for food preparation, loading of carts with supplies, and delivering meals to residents. Some food production, sanitation and proper use of food service equipment. Cleaning and disinfecting of facility, and assisting in other areas as needed.

Requirements

• Familiarity with kitchen operations is desirable.
• Good time-management skills.
• Strong desire to serve the elder population
• Dependability, good work ethic and the ability to follow directions.
• Good personal hygiene.
• Good attendance record.
• Ability to interact with fellow employees and residents.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining high sanitation and safety standards.
• Assist in preparation of menu items for daily meals and functions, and delivering meals to resident tables or apartments.
• Assist with special diets and alternates.
• Maintains a “clean as you go” policy.
• Responsible for stocking supplies on upper floors.
• Assist with daily cleaning and sanitizing of community.
• Performs other duties related to the food service operation at Heywood Wakefield Commons.
