Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must have 3-6 months related experience.
  • Must have basic personal computer skills including e-mail and word processing.
  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Must be able to read and use a ruler.
  • Must pass color vision and color hue tests.
  • Must have the ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
  • Must be able to write and speak simple sentences.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Must be able to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Must be able to maintain good attendance.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage waste and maintain order in work area.
  • Ensure each rewinder has supplies to perform his/her job.
  • Cut cores for each specific job.
  • Empty trash.
  • Replenish each Rewind station.
  • Order supplies and organize supplies when delivered.
  • Cut cores for other areas as needed.
  • Keep blades changed and core area clean, neat and organized.
  • Assist rewind area when needed on other machinery or packing.
  • Take skids to shipping daily.
  • Operate core cutter, table top and Arpeco machines.
  • Support the 5-Basics.
  • Keep anilox rolls cleaned and returned to the press area.
  • Keep the press area supplied with the necessary supplies in order to minimize down time.
  • Aid in station clean up.
  • Operate motorized lifts daily.
  • Occasionally watch presses through breaks.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
