About The Position
The Utility Worker position involves various maintenance activities related to water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater systems. The role includes responsibilities such as installing, repairing, cleaning, and replacing curb stops, fire hydrants, valves, and repairs to water mains and service lines. The position also requires driving and operating construction and maintenance equipment. There are two levels for this position: Utility Worker I, which requires no prior experience, and Utility Worker II, which requires candidates to meet specific experience and certification requirements. The work schedule is Monday to Friday with an on-call rotation, and the starting pay varies based on the level of the position.
