Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in basic computer knowledge
  • Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills
  • No experience required
  • Must satisfy regulatory and company applicable classifications before performing a covered task independently
  • Valid Driver’s License required

Responsibilities

  • Perform reads and re-read orders of residential, commercial, and induction gas meters
  • Record readings for billing purposes
  • Observe and report dangerous and damaged conditions about gas meters
  • Train to perform disconnects, automated meter reading, install modules, replace Automated Meter Reading devices
  • Complete all safety related training in a timely manner
  • Perform meter maintenance including painting meters
  • Complete electronic orders, atmospheric corrosion, and remediation
  • Change index on meters glass
  • Train to perform line locates
  • Install and perform maintenance of Automated Meter Reading (AMR) devices
  • Maintain comprehensive inventory of duties, responsibilities and qualifications required of employees in the job
  • Service and construction helper
  • Must perform stand-by duty, work shifts, holidays, weekends, emergency callouts, and occasional extensive hours
  • Is responsible for the safe operation inspection of assigned company vehicles and equipment
  • Demonstrate support for and adhere to the company’s values, strategies, policies, and procedures and exhibits the core values of Liberty’s mission statement, customer service, safety, and the company’s code of conduct as an individual contributor and team member
  • The employee must become familiar with the safety manual and work according to its intent, while creating and maintaining a safe working environment
  • Perform other related job duties as assigned
