Dessert Holdings is owned by Bain Capital and is continuing its journey of rapid growth. Dessert Holdings is looking for a Utility Tech to join our team based in Aurrora, CO. As a Utility Technician at Dessert Holdings, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our utility systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and hands-on problem-solving skills to address utility-related issues proactively.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in utility management or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in utility maintenance or operations
  • Strong understanding of utility systems and infrastructure
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repair techniques specific to utility systems
  • Experience with advanced utility management software and tools
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards
  • Certifications related to utility operations (e.g., water or gas distribution certifications)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Proactive attitude towards continuous learning and improvement

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance on utility systems, including water, gas, and electrical infrastructure
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot utility system failures, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized utility services and repairs
  • Document maintenance activities and update system records to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Participate in system upgrades and installations, providing technical support and expertise
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement utility efficiency programs
