Utility Technician Specialist Position Overview The Utility Technician Specialist role is a vital support position within the Biomed Center that requires exceptional teamwork skills and flexibility. This position serves as a critical link in the biomedical device repair process by supporting technicians with parts management, device returns processing, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of related experience
- Strong decision-making and time management skills
- Professional communication abilities for interacting with manufacturers and customers
- Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Physical capability to lift 50+ pounds
- Commitment to McKesson i2Care and iLead principles
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in data entry and order fulfillment
- Forklift certification may be required
Responsibilities
- Processing parts requisitions for biomedical technicians
- Picking and delivering parts orders accurately and promptly
- Processing device return authorizations to manufacturers
- Performing data entry tasks
- Cleaning devices (may require wearing PPE for protection against potentially infectious materials)
- Maintaining inventory accuracy
- Receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping supplies and equipment
- Ensuring work areas remain clean and safe
