About The Position

This position is responsible for minor raw material weighing and staging, glue production, and operation of the tank farm including offloading rail cars and trucks into the tank farm. Operators are expected to work with supervisors and reactor operators to complete tasks in an organized and safe manner. Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and vendors.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
  • Must have one (1) year experience working in a manufacturing or distribution facility.
  • Must have two (2) years experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Have at least two (2) years of work experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility or in an operations environment.
  • Have at least two (2) years of work experience monitoring the quality of raw materials and/or finished goods.
  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience operating mobile power equipment such as lift trucks, tow motors, or pallet handling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Weigh and stage raw materials for production.
  • Produce glue and operate the tank farm.
  • Offload rail cars and trucks into the tank farm.
  • Work with supervisors and reactor operators to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor the quality of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Operate heavy machinery and mobile power equipment such as forklifts and pallet handling equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including performing janitorial tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with operating policies and procedures.
  • Follow batch instructions to prepare raw materials needed for production.
  • Assist with inventory management of raw materials.
  • Organize and maintain raw material storage areas.
  • Unload and load raw material trucks, railcars, and tank wagons.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and computer tasks related to manufacturing processes.
