About The Position

The Utility System Worker I position is responsible for maintaining the distribution of water and the collection of wastewater. This includes preparing job sites, installing, cleaning, and repairing water and sewer lines, as well as maintaining and replacing pipes and meters. The role also involves assisting operators and completing related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in maintenance or utility work.
• Valid Class A driver's license required, with the ability to obtain a Commercial Learners Permit (CLP) within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare job sites for water and sewer line maintenance.
• Install, clean, and repair water and sewer lines.
• Maintain water and sewer lines, including replacing pipes and cleaning meters.
• Assist operators and complete related assigned tasks.
• Clean the shop and maintain equipment.
