About The Position

The Utility (Sort) position at Beasley Flooring Products is responsible for ensuring that flooring products meet quality standards before shipment. This role involves various tasks related to production support, equipment operation, and maintaining cleanliness in the work environment.

Requirements

• Must be able to bend, squat, reach, and stoop several times a day.
• Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours a day.
• Must be able to lift 1-10 lbs. regularly throughout the day.
• Must be able to visualize defects in the product while material is moving.
• Must be able to safely work around moving machinery and focus on hand safety.
• Must be able to work in an industrial environment with elevated noise levels, dust, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and basic background check.

• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans sorter building
• Runs hog
• Assists LTOs to keep production flowing
• Serves as back-up Stick Feeder
• Serves as back-up Utility Receiver
• Helps rebuild bottoms for lumber storage in yard
• Performs Front Descrambler or Back Descrambler duties when needed
• Performs cleanup or helps with repair when equipment is down
• Other duties as assigned.
