About The Position

The Utility Serviceman supports shop operations by cleaning, moving, and assisting with equipment and parts while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Clean machines, components, work areas, and parts. Maintains equipment used in performance of duties. Load and unload equipment, components, and parts. Transport equipment, components, and parts around the facility. Remove and install components, or parts. Perform maintenance on equipment and components. Perform all tasks in a manner that ensures customer satisfaction and prompt invoicing and payment for work performed. Take proper care of all company owned assets and keeps work area clean and orderly. Perform all of the above functions in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. Other duties as required in support of Riggs customers and business operations.

Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and taste or smell.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and explosives.
