Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid NJ drivers license with ability to obtain a Class B CDL within six months.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. (assisted) and work in trenches.
  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions year-round.
  • Availability for on-call and emergency overtime.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Candidates must possess authorization to work in the United States.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen, pre-employment physical, background check, and have a valid drivers license.
  • This position requires a Commercial Drivers License.
  • Use of marijuana, whether allowed by state law or medical marijuana card, controlled substances, prescribed or otherwise, not allowed by the Federal Motor Carriers Administration of the United States Department of Transportation, disqualifies candidacy.

Responsibilities

  • Install, replace, troubleshoot, and repair water meters and remote reading systems.
  • Perform essential system maintenance, including excavation, hydrant/valve repair, and pipe fitting.
  • Respond to routine and emergency service calls.
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Keep company vehicles and equipment in top shape.
  • Work outdoors in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
