Position Purpose: Oversee survey, design, installation, and commissioning of metering equipment and data gathering hardware. Manage contractor work, conduct system commissioning/start-ups, provide O&M training, and identify improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (strongly preferred).
  • AutoCAD or Visio experience for design documents.
  • Control systems and/or DCS implementation and support experience.
  • PLC and logic programming, configuration, and support experience.
  • Database/SQL queries experience.
  • PC/server configuration, thin client systems, VMware experience.
  • Energy industry experience.
  • IT/OT integrated environment experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Local to the NYC tri-state area.
  • Thorough understanding of electric circuits and diagram interpretation.
  • Network communications and OT cybersecurity knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • High degree of professionalism.
  • Team collaboration skills.
  • Control panel design and wiring understanding.
  • Plant instrumentation knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Commission and start-up utility grade metering equipment.
  • Engineer and design advanced metering systems.
  • Review project plans and specifications.
  • Conduct on-site surveys with operating personnel and contractors.
  • Perform lab testing for troubleshooting/optimization.
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, and rebuild field equipment.
  • Create documentation, procedures, and reports.
  • Work on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and MEP drawings.
  • Basic network understanding and troubleshooting.
