Utility Partnerships

Base Power CompanyAustin, TX

About The Position

About Base Base is America’s next-generation power company. We’re rebuilding the foundation of modern civilization–electricity–by deploying a vast network of distributed batteries that is transforming today’s fragile, centralized grid into a resilient and abundant system. We are engineers, operators, and creatives solving some of the most complex, interdisciplinary challenges of our time. About the Role Base’s distributed storage technology has the potential to transform the U.S. electric grid. As part of the Utility Partnerships team, you’ll play a pivotal role in scaling Base’s business and shaping the future of grid infrastructure nationwide. Base operates under two complementary business models: In deregulated markets like Texas, Base serves as both the distributed storage provider and the retail electricity provider (REP). In regulated markets, Base partners directly with utilities to deploy its batteries and provide dispatchable capacity-as-a-service. While this regulated utility business is still early-stage, it’s expanding rapidly and represents a critical growth driver for Base, especially given that roughly 75% of the U.S. is served by regulated utilities. In this role, you’ll support the business development, product strategy, and operational execution of new utility partnerships, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across deployments, software, and operations.

  • Ensure the operational success of new partnerships by collaborating cross-functionally with deployments, software, and operations teams.
  • Drive long-term account growth by helping shape product offerings that align with utilities’ evolving needs.
  • Maintain a “no job too small” mindset, contributing wherever needed to advance the success of the Utility Partnerships team.
