About The Position

Requirements

• Must be able to work in a busy, noisy, dusty environment with temperature extremes.
• Ability to work on feet for the entire shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain company-issued forklift certification.
• Previous forklift experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English, and perform basic math.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform various jobs within the warehouse or on the grounds as assigned.
• Conduct pallet sorting and restacking.
• Identify products that do not meet customer specifications and rework them.
• Participate as a member of the team, contributing to team concepts, programs, and policies.
• Coordinate work to ensure B.E.S.T practices with all team members.
• Attend appropriate team meetings and foster strong cohesiveness regarding major issues.
• Identify areas lacking cohesiveness and work with the team leader to resolve issues.
• Maintain familiarity with Simmons' established operating systems and communicate concerns and improvement ideas.
• Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
