About The Position

The Utility Operator position involves performing assembly tasks based on standardized work instructions within a specified cycle time. The role requires flexibility to learn and adapt to various positions within the business unit, ensuring efficient production of subassemblies or finished products. The operator will also utilize quality measurement tools and must possess strong communication skills to work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift 40-50 pounds as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player when working with others.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing atmosphere is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly based on standardized work instructions within allotted cycle time.
• Use a pallet jack to move products as needed.
• Reassemble components into subassemblies or finished products at any workstation at a productive pace.
• Remain flexible and learn to move into other positions within the business unit.
• Read Bill of Material listings to pull necessary component parts for assembly.
• Use quality measurement tools such as plug gages, depth gages, and calipers.
