About The Position

Supplies site functions in the areas of Wastewater Pretreatment, Energy Center, Manufacturing, Lab and Site Utilities. Schedule is a 3/3/1 schedule and rotates every 4 weeks. 4 weeks work from 7am-7pm,the next 4 weeks 7pm-7am. Job Functions: As a member of the site Utilities Team, demonstrate a high standard of performance and accountability while working in a team environment to deliver reliable utilities and services for the site. Operate (through manual and computer operations) waste water stripper, vent collection systems, thermal oxidizer, solvent tank farm, solvent recovery system, manufacturing water systems (Pharma/Purified), fire water system, chilled water system (ammonia chillers), cooling towers, electrical system, steam system, HTF systems, nitrogen system, and compressed air system (through PCR2 and Wonder ware). Monitor (through Honeywell Operating system) HVAC systems following cGMP procedures. Knowledge of boiler-water and cooling tower water chemistry preferred. Follow all SOP's and regulatory documents/agencies. Complete all Tank Farm transfers. Able to work toward Wastewater license. Able to acquire licenses to operate various materials handling equipment. Coordinate, document and maintain conformance to regulatory requirements and company policies where appropriate through effective utilization of Company Quality Systems and tools, as well as direct actions. Perform minor mechanical and equipment maintenance. Work rotating 12-hour shifts with 7 day per week availability and work approved overtime as needed. Perform other duties as the need arises. Familiarization with Microsoft Office software; able to build, modify, save, and print documents in Microsoft Word and Excel. Education High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Prefer a minimum of 1 years’ experience working in utilities as an operator or 3-5 years of manufacturing/maintenance technician experience. Confirmed mechanical competence. To maintain continued employment, must acquire a Wastewater treatment permit. Equivalency: Equivalent combinations of education, training, and meaningful work experience may be considered.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarization with Microsoft Office software; able to build, modify, save, and print documents in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of basic equipment.
  • Good problem-solving skills and logical approach to solving problems.
  • Confirmed interpersonal and communication skills to foster the team environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Use basic mathematical principles.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and strive to accomplish the job timely, accurately and safely the first time is required, as well as to work closely and efficiently in a team environment.
  • This position will generally require the ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift in a 24-hour, 7 day per week operation to include evenings and holidays.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of Good Manufacturing processes and the knowledge and skills in pharmaceutical processes, equipment, instrumentation, and procedures.
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
  • To maintain continued employment, must acquire a Wastewater treatment permit.

Nice To Haves
