About The Position

This hybrid role at Entergy Services, LLC involves providing support for real-time specific applications within the Power Generation and System Planning Applications. The position focuses on application development, maintenance, and support, ensuring that both third-party and in-house developed applications are operational and meet business needs. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders and may be filled as either an IT Specialist, Sr or IT Consultant based on qualifications and experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer information systems, Computer Science, or related technical degree or equivalent experience.
• For IT Specialist, Sr: 6+ years of relevant technology delivery with Subject Matter Expertise for Operational technology (OT).
• For IT Consultant: 8+ years of relevant technology delivery with Subject Matter Expertise for Operational technology (OT).
• Experience providing operational on-call support to customers in difficult situations.
• Experience in software design lifecycle with emphasis on development, support, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with the operational areas of the company (Nuclear, Power Generation, Power Delivery, System Planning).
• Strong skills in interfacing with management and communicating technical issues to non-technical senior managers.
• Experience with control systems security, security architecture, network security engineering, or secure network development experience with electric power utilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain business relationships, establishing Subject Matter Expertise in their area of responsibility.
• Provide operations support, ensuring production systems and devices are online and available, including non-business hours on-call support.
• Maintain real-time systems application availability, ensuring applications operate as defined in service level agreements.
• Troubleshoot and debug custom and vendor applications.
• Support the design, development, and testing of real-time systems applications and enhancements.
• Interface with software vendors for discussions, consultations, problem-solving, and best upgrade practices on third-party application systems.
• Participate in team 24-hour on-call rotation.
• Understand power system operations business needs and recommend and design applications that meet customer business needs.
• Perform additional duties as required based on the needs of the business and customers.
