What You’ll Do Use utility maps, laptop/computer systems, and specialized locating equipment to identify and mark underground utilities (electric, gas, telecom, etc.) Work outdoors daily - walking 4–6+ miles across job sites and varied terrain. Meet daily productivity goals - typically closing 20+ tickets per day. Safely operate and maintain a company utility truck, entering/exiting frequently throughout the workday. Navigate the San Antonio metro area to complete assigned tickets on time. Communicate utility mark-outs clearly with paint, flags, and documentation. Respond to after-hours emergency calls as needed (rotational schedule) What You’ll Earn Starting pay: $18+ per hour (based on experience) Automatic $.50 raise after 60 days, and an additional $.50 raise after 180 days Piece-Rate Compensation - Earnings based on tickets completed Overtime potential on the weekends Paid training — we’ll teach you the certifications required. What You’ll Bring High School Diploma / GED or Equivalent Strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to work independently while prioritizing safety Comfortable using technology to close tickets and document field work Ability to route your day efficiently around your assigned area Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to work overtime and Saturdays when needed Valid driver’s license (required) Ability to pass a Federal DOT pre-employment drug screening Utility locating or construction experience is a plus - but not required. Physical Requirements Drive 50–200+ miles per day, depending on assigned territory. Walk long distances over uneven terrain.
