About The Position

As a Utility Locator Trainee at UtiliQuest, you will be trained in safety protocols and utility locating techniques to ensure the safe and efficient execution of construction projects. This role involves working closely with experienced locators, utilizing specialized tools, and documenting findings to prevent damage to underground utility lines. The position emphasizes hands-on training and a commitment to safety and integrity in the workplace.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional) with an acceptable MVR record.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Facility Maintenance, Technician roles, route driving, meter reading, landscaping, working outdoors, pest control, surveying, military, or construction.
• Familiarity with underground utility locating.

Responsibilities

• Learn utility locating techniques and safety protocols.
• Develop an understanding of local utility infrastructure and regulations.
• Partner with experienced Locators to mark underground utility lines.
• Operate utility locating equipment.
• Document findings using digital mapping tools.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Operate company vehicle in a safe manner.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
