At Ash Grove, we stand together to reinvent the way our world is built. The position is for a Utility Laborer who will report to the Labor Supervisor and is offered at a pay rate of $22.18/hr.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a related manufacturing organization is preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
• Willingness to learn; training will be provided.
• Ability to safely and effectively use and operate various tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform general clean-up and material handling duties under general supervision.
• Comply with all applicable safety policies and regulations.
• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Perform general clean-up duties using various tools and equipment.
• Assist in removing and installing refractory lining in the kiln, preheat tower, coolers, and other related plant equipment.
• Clean plant and mobile equipment, including unplugging chutes and silo feeders.
• Clean building roofs and remove snow when necessary.
• Assist in screening grinding balls and recharging mill grinding ball load.
• Perform janitorial and ground keeping duties.
• Operate mobile equipment such as Forklift, Dump Truck, Bobcat, and others.
• Continuously observe all safety rules and keep work areas clean.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
