About The Position

Meyer Contracting Inc., is seeking qualified applicants for Topman, Bottomman, and Pipelayer openings to join our team. Team Meyer is a Highway/Heavy contractor based out of Maple Grove, MN who performs Earthwork, Underground Utilities, Demolition, Concrete Structures and Foundations operations primarily in the greater Midwest area. With our purpose of developing exceptional people, we look forward to welcoming a talented Pipelayer to our team.

Requirements

1+ years' experience
Reliable transportation to multiple sites
Ability to pass background check for access to certain restricted project sites as needed
Skilled in the use of personnel & equipment in an underground utility capacity
Considerable knowledge of occupational hazards & safe work practices
Self-motivated and independent
Excellent communication skills
Strong work ethic

Responsibilities

Daily Tasks will include common laboring.
Installation of pipe such as storm sewers, sanitary sewers, drains, and water mains .
Compaction in the trench taking care to maintain grade.
Locating & hand digging existing utility lines.
Maintain orderliness, cleanliness, and safety on the jobsite.
Work closely with other crew members using hand signals to coordinate work & ensure safety.
Follow all safety guidelines and always wear appropriate safety equipment.
