To be skilled on a variety of jobs on the line, department or facility in order to assist the supervisor or lead when needed. This includes jobs like breaking down large boxes, inspecting product, sanitation duties and raking raw meat into freezers.
Performs various jobs on the line: As assigned or required will adapt quickly to new positions and new situations in all areas, will adapt to perform in any assigned job at established production levels.
Assists in training of new employees: On the basic dress requirements, safety aspects, job assignment and sanitation procedures and policies.
Participates as a member of the Team. Participates in ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure B.E.S.T practices with all team members.
Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc.
Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues.
Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
Preference for Food Processing Industry experience.
Ability to bend, lift up to 50 lbs from floor to crown, and work on feet all day.
Must be able to work in extreme temperatures (under 40 degrees-above 100 degrees) and in a noisy environment.
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
