Requirements

• Three or more years' experience in the industry
• Member in good standing of the Local Union of the IBEW 1245
• NACE Level II certification
• API 1169 certification
• Obtain and maintain PG&E required Operator Qualifications
• Exercise Stop Work Authority (if unsafe work conditions exist)

Responsibilities

• Inspect structures as related to gas line construction/testing and ensure customer specifications are met.
• Coordinate and inspect contractors' work for job quality to determine structural soundness and compliance with specifications, building codes and other regulations.
• Inspections may be general in nature or may be limited to a specific area, such as Gas Pipe systems, Trenching and/or Shoring.
