Production Utility is responsible for performing all facets of all positions within a specific department. Ensures work is completed in a safe manner and within the quality and food safety parameters established. This position requires problem solving responsibilities. Requirements

  • Work in cold areas (approximately 20-40 degrees) and/or warm areas (over 100 degrees)
  • This work is physically demanding and can require the use of some or all body parts and muscle groups.
  • Some positions may require repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs., single lifting of heavy objects which can weigh up to 60 lbs. or lifting of objects using mechanical assistance.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must have the ability to use computerized equipment.
  • Being able to understand and follow oral and written instruction

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience in Meat Industry is preferred, but not required.
  • Must possess problem solving skills and leadership qualities.
  • Competent and trustworthy to comply with federal inspection programs and company safety and health policies.

Responsibilities

  • Covers positions in absences.
  • Entails setting up line and equipment.
  • Follows product specification sheet for instructions.
  • Accurately fills out all required Food Safety, Quality paperwork and DCS checks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Lead
