Maintains and supports the Utilities Department's Geographic Information System (GIS). Performs high level work in the data update, quality assurance and analysis of the utility's enterprise GIS and other integrated systems. The salary range for this position is $31.23 - $43.72 per hour with a hiring range of $31.23 - $37.48 , depending on qualifications and experience. Essential Functions: Creates or updates electric, water, wastewater, broadband and other GIS features based on construction drawings and/or field data. Works with and collaborates extensively with design staff, engineering and field crews to ensure accuracy and completeness of data. Maintains connectivity and integrity of utility’s geometric and utility networks. Interprets engineering modeling software to identify trouble areas in the geometric and utility networks. Independently coordinates data collection projects. Other Job Functions: Creates geoprocessing models and scripts as necessary to facilitate tasks. Creates and maintains professional maps and other information products as requested. Provides technical support and training for users of the utility's enterprise GIS and other software.
