About The Position

Harvey Vogel Manufacturing Co, a leader in metal stampings, has an immediate opening for a Utility Forklift Driver at our Woodbury location. We are a privately/family-owned company with more than 200 employees and have been in business for more than 75 years. We offer competitive salary and benefits packages. This is a production support role in a metal manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a propane sit-down forklift to safely and efficiently move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in a manufacturing setting.

Requirements

Experience in shipping, receiving, and materials handling preferably in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts such as cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and order pickers
Mechanical knowledge to perform basic equipment maintenance.
Familiarity with warehouse operations, OSHA regulations, and ERP/MRP systems.
Strong mathematical skills for inventory management.
Resourceful, proactive, and focused on process improvement.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a propane sit-down forklift to transport materials within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on supporting production operators needs
Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, shelves, and work centers
Perform routine pre and post-inspections on forklift equipment
Maintain accurate inventory records by documenting all material movements
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
