Responsibilities

  • Work in a safe and efficient manner, according to AgState's Safety Policy.
  • Always utilize good customer service skills, when servicing and greeting customers, and when working with co-workers and other departments within the company.
  • Demonstrate work habits that develop, build, and support the team concept within the organization.
  • Assist and support all departments including delivery as needed by performing the job duties as assigned.
  • Perform loadout functions such as manually loading trucks, alarms, and queuing up loads. Additionally performing grinding and batching and reporting all ingredient receipts to control room.
  • Support and uphold continuous improvement and maintenance.
  • Work independently by performing all the tasks required of feed operation employees.
  • Provide support to the procurement team to provide input as necessary on issues of supply, production scheduling, inventory, management, etc.
  • Lead and follow processes and procedures to ensure compliance with AgState's and Federal/State regulatory requirements (i.e., OSHA, HACCP, EPA, SFSF, FSMA, CGMP.)
  • Operate control room/scale in feed mill setting providing sound technical ability.
  • Receive feed ingredients and transfer to appropriate bins.
  • Fill feed orders daily, ensuring quality and satisfaction for the customer base.
  • Follow processes and procedures to ensure compliance with Company and regulatory requirements such as OSHA, EPA, HACCP, GMP, FSMA, etc.
  • Assist with the performance of daily maintenance checks on all running equipment.
  • Make minor improvements to equipment and facilities, as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and general housekeeping--sweep and clean mill to maintain appropriate dust levels and maintain AgState's image.
