Assist in Press Department to ensure board availability and housekeeping standards are maintained. All members of the press department are expected to work as a team to ensure standards are met in safety, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work as part of an effective team
  • Ability to understand technical written instructions
  • Frequent lifting and bending
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • High school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Prior printing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with our policies and procedures
  • Work with warehouse staff and Press Helper to coordinate upcoming jobs
  • Ensure board is available and ready for current and upcoming jobs
  • Inspect for board quality and communicate any issues to supervisor
  • Prepare loads for aeration
  • Aerate loads as needed
  • Prepare and process waste loads
  • Use SAP to view pick list and schedules, and notify supervisor of any issues
  • Keep conveyors stocked with aerated loads
  • Maintain cleanliness around aerators
  • Assist with training on new personnel
  • Assist with all required maintenance
  • Maintain daily log sheets
  • Understand how to refresh SAP to view current schedule
  • Ensure proper communication between shifts
  • Return unused stock to warehouse
  • Perform other duties as assigned
