About The Position

The Utility Engineer supports operations, inspection, and light maintenance processes to facility architecture, mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. The Utility Engineer role is to support the engineering team and follow direction of the more senior engineering team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years field experience with trade school training OR 5 years total field experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good general computer skills with knowledge in E-mail, Internet, and Microsoft Word.
  • Self-motivated individual who can work independently or in a team environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or national, permanent resident.

Nice To Haves

  • Handyman or commercial maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general maintenance including light plumbing, lamp changes, hanging whiteboards or other non-complex maintenance tasks.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Maintains service documentation.
  • Communicates with management, partners and Facility Services Manager regarding issues, project completion timelines and workload priorities.
  • Performs all facility equipment repairs.
  • Maintains tools, parts, equipment and supplies in clean and safe condition.
  • Acts as a resource for all partners in equipment and service maintenance.
  • Must be willing to work in a multi-skilled team environment.
  • Flexibility to flow to the work will be required to accomplish all daily operations and maintenance tasks.
