About The Position

The Utility Engineer is a member of the Facilities team responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting all facility utility systems. Cook Children's Medical Center is the cornerstone of Cook Children's, and offers advanced technologies, research and treatments, surgery, rehabilitation and ancillary services all designed to meet children's needs. Requirements

  • 1-3 years of relevant Plant Operations and general maintenance experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Windows environment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Texas Plumbing license OR Texas Electrical license OR Texas HVAC license OR Universal EPA 608 certification
  • Employees previously established in the Building Utility Engineer job profile who do not meet the updated educational or certification requirements listed above shall be deemed qualified for their current position based on equivalent professional experience. This status is specific to the current role and level; further advancement within the organization’s technical track may require fulfillment of the updated qualification standards.
