Full Time Temporary Utility Electric Meter Installer
About The Position
We are conducting electric meter upgrades in the Hobbs, NM area for Xcel Energy and are hiring Electric Meter Installers/Technicians! NO EXPERIENCE is required with paid training! If you consider yourself an independent worker and enjoy being outside, this job is for you! Position expected to end around March, 2026. All of our field staff are provided with: Safety gear including company boot (allowance), vests, glasses, etc. Paid Training at $20/hour Company provided vehicle Responsibilities: This position is responsible for installing single phase electric meters by replacing an existing meter (change-out). The new meter and meter module are installed to automate the process of reading a meter for accurate consumption and billing.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to walk up to 10-15 miles per day, outdoors in all-weather environments
- Ability to perform physical duties such as lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. of force unassisted.
