About The Position

Transdev is seeking a dedicated and reliable Utility Driver to join our team in supporting local transportation operations. As a key member of our team, you will drive vehicles between local sites, assist with vehicle maintenance, and ensure the safety and cleanliness of our facilities. This is a hands-on role that involves maintaining our fleet, handling maintenance tasks, and supporting various operational functions. Requirements

  • MUST have Commercial Driver's License with a Passenger endorsement
  • High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license with a minimum of one year of driving experience and a good driving record
  • Must be 21 years old
  • Good oral communication skills
  • Ability to read and follow written and spoken instructions
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and abide by Material Safety Data Sheets and all other safety training materials provided
  • Ability to learn shop processes including fueling vehicles and cleaning vehicles
  • Ability to mix and use a variety of cleaning products
  • Ability to use a variety of equipment such as buffers, scrubbing machines, and other heavy cleaning equipment
  • Strong attention to details
  • Travel requirement (as a percent): <5% for occasional meetings

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year or more of janitorial or auto detailing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Drives vehicles between local sites
  • Maintains building and grounds at the fixed route location. Performs maintenance to include (but not limited to) mopping, removal of trash, use of floor machine
  • Reports possible safety violations or issues to the safety and training manager
  • Responsible for outfitting fleet with documentation and/or equipment as directed by management
  • Reports any vehicle issues or leaks to the maintenance site
  • Places client fliers or rider alerts on vehicles as required
  • Drives, maneuvers, and parks vehicles. May include maneuvering vehicles through the wash bay
  • In instances of inclement weather, prepares the fixed route lot. Including (but not limited to) operating the snowplow and/or sander, placing ice melt, placing hazard signs
  • Responsible for delivery of any utilities related paperwork between the operations and maintenance sites
  • Reports any maintenance issues to supervisors or management
  • Other duties as assigned
