About The Position

The Utility/Dishwasher position at Mar Monte Hotel involves washing all kitchen utensils such as pots and pans, as well as cleaning kitchen floors, walls, and equipment like mixers and steam jacketed kettles. The role supports the Executive Chef and Sous Chef and is integral to maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. The position requires coordination with kitchen staff and adherence to safety and security procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of computer software (including Microsoft Office, Outlook) and web analytics tools is preferred.
• No formal education required; High School diploma or equivalent desired.
• Ability to operate dish washing machine and handle floor maintenance.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of all property safety and security procedures.
• Must be able to follow directions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
• Must be a team player with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash pots and pans following A.S.I. guidelines.
• Maintain a clean work environment in the pot washer area.
• Maintain kitchen area, floors, walls, and equipment clean.
• Maintain clean walk-in coolers.
• Handle F&B deliveries and re-stock/store food products according to first in/first out guidelines.
• Assist with basic food preparation when all other work is done.
• Coordinate with Executive Chef/Sous Chef/Supervisor on work priorities and provide assistance.
• Attend meetings as required by management.
