About The Position

As a Utility Digital Consultant, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our utility clients, leading the development of innovative strategies and implementable solutions. This role blends deep technical expertise with business consulting, requiring the ability to design enterprise information management strategies, oversee solution delivery teams, and advise client leadership on data, integration, and business process challenges.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years consulting and professional services experience within the business information or IT sector.
  • Experience consulting services required, with focus on enterprise software and/or the utility business domain.
  • Excellent understanding of professional service systems and processes.
  • Successful record of developing client relationships, contributing to business development, and revenue generation.
  • Established record of leading projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Skills in managing a budget and resources allocation.
  • A strong network of potential employees, contractors, developers, and contract services.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated teambuilding and coaching skills.
  • Strong people skills, capable of building trust and rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work well with engineers, operations, sales and external customers.
  • College degree in electrical engineering, business, computer science or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in programming languages relevant to the environment (e.g., Python, SQL, Java, or Shell scripting).
  • Practical experience building, deploying, and troubleshooting solutions in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud).
  • Ability to design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, and data transformations.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Demonstrated capability to diagnose and resolve issues in code, data flows, or cloud environments.
  • Commitment to earning and maintaining professional certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, etc.).
  • Ability to plan and execute a learning roadmap—combining vendor training, self-study, and hands-on labs.
  • Curiosity and initiative to stay current on industry trends, evolving cloud services, and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Engage comfortably with the full range of enterprise data integration tools and methods.
  • Contribute to proposal development, client relationships building and business development.
  • Manage individuals, delivery teams and multiple projects.
  • Engage in thought leadership development.
  • Advise client and Xtensible management on key project operational processes.
  • Clarify and communicate project objectives and success criteria.
  • Play an active role in post-project evaluation and process iteration.
  • Provide leadership within project teams.
  • Ensure a positive, collaborative working environment for the team.
  • Directly supervise matrixed project staff and work.
  • Mentor and coach project team members.
  • Demonstrate technical hands-on development and implementation skills.
