Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Computer-Aided Design, Geographic Information Systems, or other Associates Degree in Civil Engineering emphasis
  • Detail oriented with high level of accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
  • Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or on a daily basis as changes occur in project needs
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional overtime as needed

Responsibilities

  • Utilize basic ArcGIS functions in daily work
  • Coordinate and communicate with project team in creating Electrical and Gas Subdivision Designs to meet overall project objectives and deadlines (for CPS Energy)
  • Prepare and/or revise construction and planning documents as well as exhibits within company standards from redlines for a variety of projects
  • Ability to follow and implement Pape-Dawson QA/QC and agency checklists into construction documents
  • Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings
  • Inform Project Manager(s) of progress on assigned projects and request work when needed
  • Maintain organized work area to allow access of project information by other team members
  • Flexible in work assignments and team assignments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling
  • Apply for utility permits, as needed
