The Utility Coordinator of Property Management and Survey reports to the Supervisor. Responsible for coordinating, scheduling and assigning all utility infrastructure needs across MLGW’s Electric, Gas, and Water construction/ maintenance projects in connection with external agencies, including TDOT, municipal governments, railroad companies, engineering consultants, contractors, and property owners. ESSENTIAL DUTIES\: Lead interagency utility coordination and meetings between MLGW and external agencies, including TDOT, the City of Memphis, Shelby County municipalities, TVA, gas pipeline operators, and railroad companies. Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships to protect utility infrastructure and ensure alignment with proposed development and capital improvement efforts. Manage, coordinate, schedule, and assign major public infrastructure and utility relocation projects across Electric, Gas, and Water Engineering departments. Manage contracts and project schedules to ensure internal engineering and construction activities are synchronized with timelines and permitting requirements. Collaborate with Engineering and Construction teams to evaluate impacts, determine the scope of required relocation work, and coordinate timely responses to avoid project delays, reduce risk and maintain service continuity. Develop detailed cost estimates and submit reimbursement documentation in compliance with TN Ch.86 and other funding programs. Ensure eligibility and timely recovery of qualified relocation expenses. Track progress across departments to ensure project objectives, timelines, and quality standards are met. Resolve interdepartmental scheduling or design conflicts. Assist with documentation/ coordination for easements, condemnation cases, right-of-way access, and permitting issues. Provide technical insights and serve as SME in legal or administrative proceedings. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Division policies, utility-related regulations, right-of-way guidelines, permitting processes, environmental standards. Utilize enterprise systems and platforms (e.g., ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Oracle EAM, etc) to maintain project documentation, maps, utility plans, and schedules. Generate reports to support decision-making and project transparency. Represent MLGW in stakeholder engagements. Present project updates to Commissioners, City Council, County Commission, and external stakeholders. Operate division vehicle and perform other duties as assigned. LICENSES AND A valid driver’s license from the state of residence is required. CERTIFICATIONS EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or a relevant degree. EXPERIENCE Must have 5 years of experience in design of electric, gas, or water systems and/or operation of work management system; or 5 years supporting engineering design and construction of Electric, Gas, or Water infrastructure projects, or equivalent experience and training. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Must successfully complete NIMS training within one year of entering the job. Must have broad knowledge of design/construction of electric, gas and/or water facilities.
